our muse over at moochi main, tauranga is the ever stylish prita, independent makeup artist and moochi casual sales assistant. from artful make up on a bride’s big day to styling the community at moochi main, her passion lays in drawing out one’s creativity and self expression. we saw prita at the mount recently, and chatted about her commitment to the fashion and beauty industry

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHAT YOU DO

i live in the beautiful mount maunganui where i’m a proud and self proclaimed crazy cat lady, sharing my home with my two beloved cats. i have dedicated the past decade to the beauty and fashion industry as a makeup artist, and my passion for it continues to grow

what is your background with moochi?

i started at moochi back in 2021 and am now a casual employee

you’re so talented at what you do! how did you figure out hair and makeup was for you?  

in my final year of school, i contemplated my future career path and realised that i had a genuine interest in makeup and fashion. so, the following year i enrolled in makeup school right after graduating from high school

what does fashion mean to you? how does it play into your day to day?

for me, fashion is all about creativity and self-expression. there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, much like hair and makeup. i firmly believe in wearing whatever makes you feel your best, and that looks different for everyone. my style is a mix of edgy and comfortable—bold pieces that stand out yet feel effortlessly relaxed. i love combining unconventional elements to create a look that’s uniquely my own

an oversized coat – my favourite is the moochi jubilee coat from last year
