Tell us about your business

miss polly’s kitchen began in 2020, when I started sharing easy recipe videos on instagram during lockdown. with the page quickly growing it led to the publication of my first cookbook, miss polly’s kitchen: for the love of eating, in august 2022, and a second best selling book, seriously delicious, in august 2024

I continue to share recipes and culinary tips, as well as fun collaborations with various brands local and international to make cooking enjoyable and accessible for all

I’ve got lots of exciting things in the pipeline for 2025, I’ll be travelling next month which is something I’ll slowly be incorporating more into my brand and my other focus this year on the work front is YouTube, so watch this space!

what draws you to moochi and how does the brand align with your lifestyle?
I love wearing good quality effortless clothes and especially buying new zealand brands. moochi have timeless pieces that are perfect for building a wardrobe, like their crisp white shirts with small details, pants that fit well and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion and if like me you wear a lot of black and whites then their capsule range will forever have options to suit you and your style

what does style mean to you? how does it play a part in your every day?
style, to me, is about feeling confident, it’s an extension of your personality; it’s in what you wear, how you present a dish, and the way a space makes you feel. in fashion, it’s about pieces that just work. timeless, well crafted, and perfectly suited to you

describe your style in 3 words
minimal, effortless and chic

what are your favourite pieces from palette two?
there’s too many to choose from but if I have to pick, I’d say the logic shirt and leather allotted pants. I love the sartorial yet street style inspired nature of these pieces together. it’s chic without the fuss. I’ve also got my eye on the black cinder pant with the natural stripe down the side. these are just such an easy throw on pair of pants that will style with anything. from my looks at the shoot I adored the all black look with the cohesive lace skirt and origami black shirt. the playful contrast of feminine lace with a boxy oversized shirt is so fun to wear and can be quite dressy or relaxed depending on your choice of shoe

    your uniform:
when I’m not in the kitchen trying to avoid getting food on my clothes, you’ll find me in denim paired with a white tee, or a relaxed fit pair of pants paired with a good crisp white shirt and of course an oversized blazer

the perfect start to your morning:
a morning walk with a coffee or matcha either listening to a good podcast or walking with a loved one is my ideal morning… or at this time of year a hot x bun and coffee in bed is also a a firm favourite

    favourite local spot:
almond flat white or matcha from five loaves, hot x bun or any pastry from beabea's bakery (also their baguettes are to die for) and an açai bowl or toasted cheese scone from honey sundays
